Zelda Kick!

Hello all! So as it turns out, Nintendo chose my piece to be in the Top 50 of their "Wind Waker HD Fan art Challenge". So my piece was displayed at the Symphony of the Goddess. You can also view my piece at 3:38 on Nintendo's Official Youtube page here! In case you havent seen my piece yet, here it is!

I also had an article written about me here, which is a huge honor! I'd just like to thank everyone who helped critique my piece during it's production!

In more recent news I have been making some new 3D prints including Majora's Mask, and the Ocarina of Time Medallions.

------------

I also have some beta renders of the medallions, and some sneak peaks on the Spiritual Stones.

It is only a matter of time before my Zelda kick takes a break! The stones were a commission of sorts, and I made them in 2 days so I saw no harm in making them too. Everything but the art piece at the top will be available for 3D printing. The Talismans have some more issues to work out so those will have to wait. Thank you for stopping by!

Water Temple Update 2

First up, the render

So I am trying to remake the Dark Link Room from Zelda Ocarina of Time. Im playing with some fogs, and am going a little crazy over it. Also this place is just feeling so plain, I need to spruce it up a bit. Maybe Ill throw in extra rocks to show distance. Another issue I am facing is a good camera angle... I cant really get everything i made in the shot, its either one door or the other. But I wanted to show an update on it, and there will be more to come.

Forsaken Voyage

Hello all! Its time for an update!

First Id like to show you this...

This is my submission for the Wind Waker Fan Art Contest. Maybe, just maybe I will get in the top 50? It's a 3D HD realistic/toon style scene of The Forsaken Fortress. Here is my reference image.

I think it came out beautifully! And that is saying something for only 9 days of working on it.

If you have come here to hear about how you can buy some Talismans from Jackie Chan Adventures, well, you will have to wait a little bit longer. I had some color issues with the printing, but they will be done soon! Just to let you know that progress is being made, I sent myself another test.

Things like the rooster and tiger need work, but again, ill keep this updated. Thank you for stoping by!

3D Printing test!

Testing out some 3D printing!

Soon these will be available to the public, I just need more tests. As you can see it is very close to the one portrayed in the show Jackie Chan Adventures!

All 12 have been made, but this one needed a little more TLC because it splits appart into 2 pieces. Im also making sure these can be worn as necklaces. Time will tell, ill update again in the future!

So a while back some classmates and I all did this little exercise every week where we draw. We generate 3 random words and then you must draw something out of them! No rules beyond that, its all about how creative you can be. You could think of something to reference like a tv show or a game, or something original! I decided to try and get back into them and shape up my traditional skills. The Cat Hat one I did just this week!

-Ring
-Baboon
-Prison
----------------------------------
If you ever played Star Fox, you will know that Andross was a giant ape who was imprisoned inside a planet. You could fly through silver rings to heal your ship when he damaged it too!
------------------------------------

-Cat
-Hat
-Karate
------------------------------------
I almost did a Cat in the Hat thing, but eh, originality for this week!
------------------------------------

------------------------------------
This isnt a weekly sketch, but I felt like drawing a bunch of characters who dont like the moon because of an eclipse happening at the time.
------------------------------------

-Squid
-Ears
-Saxophone
------------------------------------
I really dig this one. Like the cat hat one I had the idea to have limbs just sprout out of a dark hole. I really like the idea I got for the suction cups!
------------------------------------

-Zombie
-Juggle
-Door to Door Salesman
------------------------------------
Somebody screwed up the generator on that day, cause Door to Door Salesman is not one word! Haha! I overdid this with the glow, but I was going for an endless world of doors idea. Like the rings of saturn but made of doors. Should have gone the Monsters Inc. route I suppose... Also I got a juggler or, "Nights" if you are in love with sega like I am. Had to fit juggle in there somewhere!

Water Temple - Update 1

Howdy yall! Here I am working on a room from Zelda Ocarina of Time. Just some fan work, but it keeps me busy. The screenshot above is what I have so far. Ive been working in Maya and am basically recreating an HD version of the Dark Link room from the water Temple. Depending on which version you prefer (N64 or 3DS) I am combining elements from both, along with some of my own twists. This room is very simple, but that is kind of the reason I feel like spending time on it. Ive never worked with water, and I am facing some challenges with the reflections. Im trying to get a shallow yet reflective surface and refraction, while keeping a look of realistic water.

^3DS Ver^
There is a lot of room for my own ideas in this scene, but I want to keep it in the relm of the Japanese Architecture. Gonna have to work on those models. God I hate UVing... More to come, stay tuned!

Blue Spheres HD

So I have been working on this for a little while. My "re-imagining" of GRAB THE BLUE SPHERES! (Bonus level from Sonic 3 and Knuckles) The models are not mine, but I made everything else and fooled with the textures a bit. Oh the outer space texture was tingled from the talents of - http://dansyron.deviantart.com/ -This was just for fun, testing my skills. Hope you enjoy! Its perfect for a desktop background!
